   1. The historical development trend of my country's logistics industry


   Since 2010, my country's logistics industry has maintained rapid growth. By 2013, the total cost of social logistics was 10.2 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.3%; the total revenue of social logistics was 7.2 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.2%, and the added value of the logistics industry was 3.9 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%.


   At present, most provinces and cities across the country have established a relatively complete intelligent transportation system, realizing highway network detection and vehicle dynamic supervision. All links of China's RFID industry chain are showing a momentum of rapid growth. In 2012, my country's RFID market reached 23.66 billion yuan, ranking third in the world. In May 2013, Alibaba Group launched the China smart logistics backbone network (ChinasmartLogisticNetwork for short: CSN) project. In July 2014, China Post Corporation and Alibaba Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement to jointly build China's smart backbone Internet of Things.


The State Council recently issued the "Medium and Long-term Plan for the Development of the Logistics Industry (2014-2020)" (referred to as the "Plan") to deploy and accelerate the development of the modern logistics industry, and proposed that by 2020 it should basically establish a reasonable layout, advanced technology, convenience and efficiency, green environmental protection, and safety. The "Plan" clearly proposes to "accelerate the development of public information platforms for transportation and logistics", which is evident in the emphasis on the development of informatization and intelligence in the logistics industry.


   Logistics is inseparable from transportation, and transportation is inseparable from informatization. Transportation information must be interconnected and applied to generate benefits.    However, from the perspective of informatization construction, Chinese logistics companies are still at a relatively primitive and low-level stage.    2. Problems facing the development of the logistics industry


   (1) "High social logistics costs" coexist with "low profitability of logistics enterprises". Although the total amount of social logistics in my country has grown rapidly, the total income of social logistics has grown steadily, and the added value of the logistics industry has grown steadily, we must see that the prices of my country's logistics services are still fluctuating at a low level and corporate profitability is weak. In China's logistics industry prosperity index, the main business profit index in December was 50.3%, and the index for the whole year averaged 50.6%, maintaining a low level. According to a survey of key logistics enterprises, from January to November, the main business income of key logistics enterprises increased by 5.3% year-on-year, and the profit rate of main business income was 4.1%, which was 0.9 percentage points lower than the same period of the previous year, and was lower than the scale of the same period. The profit rate of the main business of the above industrial enterprises was 1.4 percentage points. Both sets of data reflect the weak profitability of my country's key logistics enterprises.


(2) The problems of "logistics besieged city" and "last mile" are still prominent. With the acceleration of urbanization, the shortage of logistics infrastructure resources such as warehousing has become increasingly obvious. At the same time, due to the urban traffic control of freight vehicles, "road difficulties" The problems of “traveling, difficult to stop, difficult to unload goods, and difficult to obtain certificates” exist for a long time.


   (3) Logistics companies have difficulties in financing and competition in the logistics market is becoming increasingly fierce. Logistics companies are mostly asset-light companies. The difficulty of obtaining mortgage loans and insufficient funds restrict the rapid development of the logistics industry. Most of my country's logistics companies are small, weak, and low-capacity, and they are at a disadvantage in the market competition with large international logistics companies.


   (4) Low level of technology. On the one hand, the e-commerce of Chinese circulation companies still belongs to the “single-family” closed operation of e-commerce information, and has failed to form a network platform for information resource sharing and industry, and there is still a big gap with the world's first-class circulation companies; , China lacks an information integration platform that connects manufacturers, retailers, and customers, which has caused the entire industrial chain to be too long. Multinational companies cannot communicate directly with customers on the information platform, resulting in very low logistics efficiency.


   Three, the future development trend of the logistics industry


   Currently, the vigorous development of a new generation of information technology such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing, and mobile Internet is driving the transformation of China's smart logistics.    First, in terms of basic information collection, a large amount of our information still relies on manual entry, so there are problems such as low efficiency, high error rate, and untimely updating, which affect the entire transmission and application in the later stage, which is the basis of informatization. At present, one of the solutions that we mostly adopt is to use RFID in logistics equipment, through dynamic tracking and identification, indirectly grasp the information of goods, instead of applying RFID technology to every product at once.

However, people sometimes understand the public information platform as a tangible organization, a centralized information storage and management organization, or a centralized management database. I think this understanding is biased. A system has many levels of work to be done. It may be necessary to establish some necessary centralized management databases, but it is more of a mechanism and a mode of information exchange and information sharing.
